2008/09 Recycling Collections Calendar - for Birch, Essex

All who share a concern for the environment will want to ensure that we recycle as much as possible. This is made a great deal easier by the regular collections which are made on normal refuse collection days.

Collections for different recyclables alternate weekly.
The colours on the calendar show what to put out that week.
Your collection will take place on your normal refuse collection day.
(Birch collection day is TUESDAY except during weeks containing Bank Holidays.)

BLUE WEEKS: Green Box (glass bottles and jars, cans and foil), Paper, card and cardboard - in clear plastic recycling sacks provided by the Council, Clothes and shoes in a marked bag.

GREEN WEEKS: Garden Waste (limit 4 bags), Plastics - in clear plastic recycling sacks provided by the Council.

Please leave your refuse and recyclables clearly visible on your property boundary by 7-00am.

Dates marked with an asterisk * denote days falling within Bank Holiday weeks. During these weeks collections are one day later than usual, i.e. on a Wednesday rather than Tuesday.

Note : Christmas Week will be a Blue recycling collection, as well as the weeks immediately before and after.
